Finished!

I have now finished my single camera project and I am only a little satisfied with the final project but it is all I can achieve with my little time remaining.

quick summary of happenings.

i have completed alot of my editing with around 90% now complete. although i have hit a stumbling block due to a difficulty of gaining some specific sounds and my main actres being off ill, which i will now use my contingency plan to look to. further more i am now on my way with around 80% of my pre-production being redeveloped as the call sheet and the story board details are being ammended.

i am very close to completing these aspects and will be moving into my evaluation so i shall be posting that as soon as i can.

Another Reshoot completed

the latest segment of filming went very well, I have considered it to have gone better then before and now cane really start to focus on editing as the footage was not up to standards before. more filming will follow and then a full evaluation can be made of the latest round of footage has been compiled.

Evaluation of first footage.

i have finished my first round of footage and from personal view, the footage is not of good enough standard for what i am looking for. The lightibng has clashed with  natural light causing weird unnatural green colouring. The technology that i have used has casued a slightly, just about noticeable judder with the camera which once again has caused the footage to be slow and not usable. the transitions and angles are not varied enough which was down to me as rhe camera man which is something that i can easily address. The main male actor in the footage, although to the human ear sounded sinceer, to the camera did not, so this will also be addressed and we will change the situation for them so far. From this i will be doing a full reshoot of the footage, with all of these being changed. i expect the footage to take around 2 weeks for a full reshoot and then from that i will solve these problems, but also the footage will be at the same standard.

Filming has started!!!!

i have started filming my first section of my footage and it has so far been a success. it has gone smoothly and the footage i feel is at a high enough standard top start to edit. i will be reducing light levels through the editing and this will now start to take place this friday after i have filmed the second half of the footage and edit will start on friday.

amended script

i have amended my script to include a new idea. the new idea is to include the sensitive area of losing a child, leading to the sadneess of both parties rather then just the mother. i am making the characters alot more human through out so they would be alot more emotional. the cutting of some other ideas like the original audio that would have been used would be cut and also some of the panning scenes.
these have all been made and now i will be concenttrating on other aspects like risk assessment, prop list and recodring actors voices for finding of tone.

Happy New Year

Now that it is the new year, filming shall start. The first target will be the uploading of pre-production paper work like prop list, script, story board, costumes and a location recce.
I hope to also download more examples that have inspired my choices. These will be uploaded shortly.
My film must be finished by Easter with rough cuts be uploaded as soon as they are available.
